Rev. Bivins Responds To God's Calling

Rev. Adren Bivins evangelizes in the streets, projects, and the ghettos, ministering to gang members, drug dealers, and to anyone that needs help turning their life around. His enduring message - Jesus is the only way!

Rev. Bivins can relate to young disadvantaged males because he has been where many of them are. His dad died when he was nine years old. The resulting trauma required mentoring to help Rev. Bivins become, and develop into, a man. Although his mother was a strong Christian woman, he still needed a male role model to help him mature. Through God's boundless blessings, Rev. Bivins found such role models all around him in the form of neighbors, preachers, deacons, coaches, teachers, and community support.

As Rev. Bivins grew into a man, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He later became a professional wrestler, a career which he enjoyed for 25 years. He also has worked as a body guard, military and civilian police, and correctional officer. Since those days, he has used that background to help open doors for speaking engagements in schools, churches, civic organizations and anyone else that asks for him to appear.

When God called Adren Bivins into the ministry, he answered with unwavering committment. After being ordained as a minister in 2000, Rev. Bivins has continually promoted the Gospel of Jesus Christ and looked for ways to make a lasting impact on the community around him. Not content to just have an idea with no action, Rev. Bivins formed The Laymen Brotherhood Second Chance Outreach Ministry. He and his wife, Sylvia run the organization and are intriciately involved in its day to day operations.
